From the initial enquiry they offered a range of options, and demonstrated the individual equipment capabilities available for our needs. Probado’s technicians were courteous, and available to complete the installation along with providing a brief training session.

Our team delivers services with confidence

Gordon has nearly 40 years of experience in the IT sector. He started his career as a programmer and systems engineer before transitioning into various commercial and senior management positions. Throughout his career, he has built and managed relationships with major companies like HP, IBM, and Sun, as well as several software and services vendors across different business sectors.
As a co-owner and Director at Probado since 2009, he specialises in sales, marketing, and commercial strategies. He has a proven background in business development, guided by strong ethical values and a clear vision of how IT can empower businesses.
In his spare time, Gordon enjoys dining at restaurants and spending time with good company. He also likes walking Bailey, his cockapoo, as well as clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing, and playing cricket.

Jonathan has extensive experience in IT, having independently hosted websites, games, and voice communication servers for several years. He has worked at the University of Huddersfield, served as an independent IT Technician, and held the position of Community Support Representative.
He possesses specialised knowledge in data recovery, digital security, and forensics, which have all played vital roles in disaster recovery efforts and investigations for clients.
During his time at Probado, Jonathan has trained and mentored colleagues, guiding engineers from their initial recruitment to becoming seasoned professionals. He has also been responsible for significant aspects of in-house infrastructure and application development.
Outside of IT, Jonathan is an avid swimmer with formal lifeguard training, and he enjoys photography.

Josh recently graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a degree in Information Technology. Over the past year, he has been working at Probado, where he has become an integral part of the team, helping to ensure the smooth operation of client networks and systems.
Specialising in networking, cloud services, and data management, Josh brings a troubleshooting mindset and a collaborative approach to his work.
Outside of work, he is an avid gym-goer, enjoys participating in sports, and regularly socialises with friends.

Bringing a decade of IT experience, Simon has progressed from apprentice to Service Desk Team Leader, gaining hands-on experience across support, cloud, and project delivery in managed services. With a strong technical background and an approachable style, he supports both clients and colleagues in navigating IT challenges without overcomplicating things, while mentoring and developing the team.
At Probado, he oversees the day-to-day running of the helpdesk, contributes to documentation, and helps develop standard operating procedures to keep things consistent and reduce repeat issues. His experience covers a broad mix of infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and security, along with delivering clear reporting and insight through KPI dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
Outside of work, he plays in local pool leagues, serves as secretary for a community pub/club, and is usually kept on his toes by a lazy tabby cat and an excitable young cockapoo.

With a career spanning more than 40 years, Martin started out as an apprentice technician before moving into electronics design and completing an engineering degree. He then settled into software development and product management in the Unified messaging space.
As Co-Owner and Director at Probado, Martin oversees Technical, Operations alongside general business management. He has a proven record in Digital and IP Telephony, Unified Messaging, IT, and Networking.
Away from work Martin is a member of the Curry club, a Swimming Official and the family taxi.

Tim brings over 15 years of IT experience, having held multiple roles across both internal IT teams and externally managed services, supporting a diverse range of clients. Skilled at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical areas, Tim prides himself on bringing a more social, approachable aspect to IT, helping clients navigate and overcome complex technical challenges.
In recent years, Tim has worked on multiple projects and now oversees our initiatives here at Probado, constantly striving for excellence—whether it’s implementing new networks, achieving Cyber Essentials accreditation, or tackling an ever-growing list of IT challenges.
Beyond IT, Tim enjoys fatherhood, spending quality time with his son and two energetic French Bulldogs. He has also recently taken up going to the gym, focusing on improving his fitness and overall well-being.

David is committed to delivering reliable, friendly IT support for customers at Probado, ensuring they can always depend on him and feel comfortable asking for help. He’s been passionate about technology since childhood, keeping up with new innovations and exploring many areas across the IT landscape.
Outside of work, David becomes the go‑to “friends and family IT department”, a dedicated homelab enthusiast, and an all‑round problem solver. He also enjoys gaming, especially: Tycoon, RTS, Simulation and Social VR experiences.

Kane has over four years of experience in the IT industry, beginning his career as an apprentice before joining an architectural firm in Huddersfield, where he provided IT support to internal users. Since joining Probado, he has become a dependable and valued member of the team, bringing experience from fast-paced environments where delivering excellent service and meeting SLAs are key priorities.
Known for his punctuality, positive attitude, and approachable nature, Kane is committed to helping clients overcome technical challenges efficiently and effectively. His expertise includes day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting, and data management, and he takes a collaborative approach to delivering solutions and supporting both colleagues and clients.
Outside of work, Kane is a season ticket holder for the Huddersfield Giants and a dedicated supporter of Manchester United. He also enjoys following and supporting his local rugby club.
